The Process of building a concrete swimming pool
1. CONSULTATION
After you fill out a form online or call us we will discuss your wants and needs to decide on the best plan of action for your project. We will then arrange for a suitable time to meet you preferably onsite to get a visual of your desired project. After the meeting if you are happy with our feedback and our overall estimation of timeframe for your project. We will then send you a provisional quote to accept.
4. CONSTRUCTION
The dirt is excavated then removed and construction begins.
Boxing begins - Steel-reinforcing rods are placed inside the excavated pool area, along the bottom, up the sides, and around the perimeter. These add strength, durability, and ensure the long life of your pool plaster.
The plumbing is installed and then a concrete shotcrete mixture is applied \ sprayed under great pressure to bond tightly around the steel reinforcing rods.
2. DESIGN
Once you have decided to proceed we work closely with you to design & create a pool that meets your exact requirements, whether you’re after a lap pool, small backyard plunge pool, a standard sized pool, or a large resort style pool
5. FINISHING
Pool copings - Tiles are applied along what will be the waterline of the interior of your pool and the headers.
The swimming pool is covered with a durable waterproof finish in the colour and product of your choice - We highly recommend using NZ Pool Pebble.
Then your pool equipment is installed.
Once the electrical connections and final inspection is completed, your pool is ready for handover.
During handover, we will explain and show you how the operation of the filtration system works and show you how to care for your new Majestic pool.
3. APPROVALS & CONCENT
Based on the complexity of your build we may need to work closely with either your or our own chosen external structural \ civil engineer. At this stage we will also need to apply for any permits before construction commences. Majestic Pools will help get council approvals for your home or land, whether an infinity edge pool, plunge or lap pool. We handle all the paperwork and building processes for council approvals.
